Nowhere Station is an alternative rock band based in New Delhi, India, formed in 2017. Initially a busking project, the band’s sound has evolved with influences from artists like Dave Matthews Band and Porcupine Tree. The current lineup includes Rijul Singh (vocals/guitar), Dhruv Dhingra (bass/keyboards), Anant Mital (drums), and Tommaso D’Avanzo, a seasoned percussionist joining as a guest artist.
Their debut album, Nowhere Station One (2020), was a cosmic journey described by Rolling Stone India and featured an innovative 360º augmented reality video. The band is now working on their sophomore EP, Weeping on the Dance Floor, recorded live in a single 27-minute take at Kalabhumi Studio in Auroville.
Having toured extensively across South India and performed at major festivals like FoX Festival and HornOKPlease, Nowhere Station has also collaborated with City Sabha to reclaim public spaces in New Delhi through guerrilla performances. Rooted in their architectural background, they blend music with design and urbanity to create immersive experiences beyond the stage.
Tommaso D’avanzo, from an Italian multi generation musician family. Mediterranean, Arabic, Afro and South American professional percussionist, played in music festivals across majority of the EU countries, national television and radios.
